  After a lengthy tendering process involving a number of suppliers, Weyerhaeuser has signed
  a three-year agreement with Kiln Flame Systems Ltd.  (KFS) for combustion engineering
  and burner equipment services for its eleven lime recovery kilns in North America. The KFS
  team has already provided combustion equipment to three of these kilns and will supply
  additional equipment and services throughout the period of the agreement, thereby
  guaranteeing Weyerhaeuser access to cutting-edge combustion expertise in its lime
  recovery processes.

  The decision to choose KFS came from Weyerhaeuser's desire for combustion expertise
  that extends beyond traditional burner equipment supply. The KFS combustion solutions
  and equipment design are underpinned by proprietary aerodynamic, combustion and
  mathematical modeling techniques that have been validated through extensive industrial
  experience.

  As KFS Director Richard Manning states, "We are obviously very excited that one of North
  America's major players in the pulp and paper industry has recognized our special expertise
  and wants us to develop closer links with both its mills and technical engineering center".
