THE METHOD (1 - 2)

KFS services are ultimately focused on the supply of combustion system equipment that can range from a main kiln burner and associated fuel handling systems, to a kiln warm-up burner or pilot ignition system.

However, the unique KFS approach starts with a site survey to diagnose the status of existing combustion systems.  In this way we can determine whether or not the system can be improved through a simple refurbishment or modification, or if a more comprehensive upgrade is required.

The unique KFS physical and mathematical modelling capability, validated world-wide on a large number of rotary kiln applications, is used to analyse the aerodynamic and combustion parameters within the process.  This modelling phase allows KFS to match the combustion and heat transfer requirements of the different types of process allowing for specific individual features of a kiln (hood design, dam rings, cooler configuration).  KFS continues to provide customers with the world’s most experienced modelling team with key staff having worked on the design, operation and analysis of over 230 individual studies since in 1989.

KFS can carry out detailed design of entire combustion systems that can be fabricated in the UK or local to the customer.

KFS always attend the commissioning of their equipment and assist in operator training.  KFS supply spare parts and service assisting customers to maintain equipment performance and ensure a long operational life.
