DETAILED
DESIGN
Typical detailed engineering design and equipment procurement
undertaken by KFS including:
1. Basic Engineering Design Activities and
Deliverables
- Process
Flow Diagram (PFD) for combustion system
- Process & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) for
combustion system
- oil or gas valve train P&ID
- instrument lists
- principal equipment specifications (e.g. Primary Air fan)
- basic dimensioned equipment layout (including mechanical
survey at site if required)
- recommendations on ignitor/pilot, main flame scanners, and
burner management system to ensure operational safety
2. Detailed Engineering Design Activities
- design for individual or combination gas/oil/coal
OPTIMIX
burner
- burner
carriage
- pilot and ignition system with electrical schematics
- valve train detailed design and GA
- burner management system (BMS)
- flame scanners selection
- interlock systems functional description
- panel design
- electrical schematics
- provision of Installation, Operating & Maintenance
(IO&M) manual
3. Installation, Operational and
Maintenance Manual
The manual is a detailed step-by-step instructions for operation of
the KFS designed and supplied equipment with
vendor information for all subcontract equipment items. The manual includes all
necessary mechanical and electrical drawings and documentation.
Additionally, within this phase of work, KFS can be involved in a number of other areas,
for example the design and upgrade of associated systems and equipment.
